PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder in which ink is prevented from sticking to a recording head by suppressing evaporation of moisture. SOLUTION: A movable cap for capping a nozzle is provided with a suction opening 51. Valve means B1 and B2 are provided at the suction opening 51 and an opening 53 communicating with the atmosphere of the cap. When the pressures on the opposite sides of the valve means B1 and B2 are substantially equal, the suction opening 51 and the opening 53 communicating with the atmosphere are shut off. The valve means B1, B2 has such a structure as a slit is made in a thin film formed integrally with the cap. According to the arrangement, evaporation of moisture is suppressed and ink is prevented from sticking to a recording means. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
