<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reader-writer capable of detecting presence of external noise in advance, and informing a concerned operator of the result thereby quickly eliminating the effect of the external noise. <P>SOLUTION: The reader-writer 100 is configured with: a computer 50 for controlling the entire system; a transmitter-receiver 1 taking charge of the protocol for data communication with the external computer 50; a controller 2 for controlling the entire operation of the reader-writer 100; a memory device 3 for recording a procedure of operating the controller 2; a modulator 4 for modulating data on a carrier from the controller 2; an entry device 5 for entering an operation command; a display apparatus 6 for displaying information from the controller 2; a power amplifier 7 for power-amplifying outputs from the controller 2; a detection demodulator 8 for converting an output of the power amplifier 7 into binary data; a loop antenna 9 for transmitting/receiving a power carrier and data; and a magnetic field strength measurement section 10 for measuring the magnetic field strength of the carrier received from the loop antenna 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
