<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a sealing performance at the bearing part of a bar-like rotating body such as a stirring screw maintainable over a long period of time, as for a developing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: As for the developing apparatus provided with the bar-like rotating body 4 which is arranged, in a developer storing chamber 3 while the both ends of a shaft part of which are supported by the bearing part 2, and for carrying and stirring the developer in the developer storing chamber 3, a cylindrical flange 6 is arranged on the bearing part 1 so as to surround the peripheral edge of the bearing part 2 and cover the sealing face 5 with the bearing part 2, and also, a developer discharge port 7 for making the inside and outside of the cylindrical flange 6 communicate with each other is arranged in the cylindrical flange 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
