PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording device or the like for recording information so that highlighted display of a subimage and the setting of an effective period of operation control can timewisely accurately be performed. SOLUTION: This information recording device is provided with a signal processing part 72 for processing record information including subimage information and generating additional information including reproduction control information corresponding to the record information and a mastering device 78 for recording the record information and the additional information on a DVD. The record information is divided into a plurality of data groups, the plurality of data groups each include the reproduction control information, the reproduction control information includes highlight information for displaying the subimage information in highlight, and the highlight information includes button information for regulating operation control that corresponds to the subimage information of a highlight display target and time management information for regulating an effective period when operation control corresponding to the button information is performed.
