PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve precision of position detection by reducing propagation loss. SOLUTION: A timing information detection part 405 obtains timing information from an received signal. An elevation angle estimation part 308 calculates a period until a signal sent from a base station device reaches to a mobile station device based on the timing information and an elevation angle which an antenna 103 of the base station forms with the mobile station. An interconnecting correction part 309 corrects interconnection using the elevation angle. A weighting synthesis part 303 performs weighting synthesis using the correction result of the interconnection. An angle detection part 304 detects an angle with the front direction of the mobile station in a horizontal surface based on a signal received after the weighting synthesis. A position detection information sending part 306 synthesizes the timing information and the angle information and then sends to a location server. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
