<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an uninterruptible power supply and a no-instantaneous interruption system switching device wherein even if a contactor of a hybrid no-instantaneous interruption switching circuit malfunctions, continuous power supply to a load is guaranteed and the high reliability is obtained. <P>SOLUTION: If when the contactor 11 performs switching operation, its switching contact 12 does not move from terminal a to terminal b within a predetermined time and switching become unfeasible, a malfunction detecting means 34 detects a malfunction. Then the malfunction detecting means 34 outputs to a lap contactor 32 a command to switch from the switching contact 33 from the c side to the d side. Thereafter, the switching contact 33 undergoes a lap period and is then completely separated from terminal c and brought into contact only with terminal d. Thus, a semiconductor switch 13 is turned off. Therefore, a current from a commercial alternating-current power supply 1 flows to a load 2 through a bypass 22 for maintenance and the switching contact 33 without instantaneous interruption. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
