[Also in Division F2] A crank-case relief valve comprises, a seat 22, 23 mounted around an opening in the crankcase wall 24, a closure member 19 and a loading spring 20 located between the closure member and a guard 21. A wedge 27 deforms the final coil of the spring to ensure coaxial loading on the closure member, and the final coil is optionally of helical configuration as indicated at 28 so that it is deformed axially when the valve is assembled.</p> |
