PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the precision of a relative position of a nozzle 14, an ink channel 12 and a pressure applying means 21 in a method of manufacturing an ink jet head 1 which adopts a laser branching working process. SOLUTION: A nozzle formation process is a process of forming a plurality of nozzles 14 to be a predetermined pitch in a nozzle plate 83 at a time by branching a laser light by a diffraction optical element 63 and applying a plurality of diffraction laser light to the nozzle plate 83. A mask used for forming the ink channel 12 (pressure chamber 31) and/or forming a piezoelectric element 21 has a predetermined pattern formed by an equal pitch profile to the pitch profile of the nozzles 14 formed in the nozzle plate 83.
