<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a write-once optical recording medium made of organic materials even in a blue laser wavelength range, especially in a wavelength range of around 405 (nm), a write-once optical recording medium with large modulation, and a write-once optical recording medium having little change in recording characteristics, such as recording sensitivity and modulation, and jitter and an error rate, and reflectance or the like with respect to the fluctuations of a recording and reproduction wavelength. <P>SOLUTION: This information recording medium has a layer structure, wherein a heat receiving layer containing dye materials is laminated on a light receiving layer so as to make the film thickness ≤200 nm. Light showing a gaussian distribution is emitted to the medium to perform recording. Consequently, in the heat receiving layer, Inner and outer parts of record mark regions where light intensity is increased for recording change in quality to thereby perform recording. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
