<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable and sure connection even at a low load, by making a height smaller to shorten a conducting route. <P>SOLUTION: An insulation displacement connector is provided with a conductive pin 10 and a conductive head pin 20 inserted into an insulation housing 1 in free up-and-down movement and protruded from a surface and backside of a housing 1, and an elastic insulating elastomer 30 interposed between the pin 10 and the head pin 20 biasing them in suppression in contrary directions. The pin 10 and the head pin 20 are brought into contact to be part of the conductive route, which is interposed between electrodes of a first and a second electric joints to electrically conduct and connect them. The pin 10, head pin 20 and elastomer 30 are integrally formed, and the height of the elastomer 30 is properly selected, so that the substantial height of connection is reduced while maintaing spring characteristics thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
