PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the breakage of a switching element due to an overcurrent in an electromagnetic induction heating type rice boiler heating a pot by magnetic flux generated by an inverter. SOLUTION: The pot 1 for putting in an object to be heated is heated by the magnetic flux generated by the inverter 10. A current of the switching element 4 carrying out the switching operation of the inverter 10 is detected by a current detecting means 9. The operation of the rice boiler is controlled by a control part 11. When a detection level of the current detecting means 9 reaches a predetermined level, the control part 11 stops the operation of the inverter 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
