PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controlled variable calculating device for an internal combustion engine, capable of optimally controlling fuel injection amount or ignition timing according to an operating condition. SOLUTION: This controlled variable calculating device for the internal combustion engine includes a rotational signal generating means of outputting the rotational signal at each prescribed angle by synchronizing with the rotation of the internal combustion engine, and a control means of calculating the controlled variable of an object-to-be-controlled of the internal combustion engine each time the rotational signal is inputted. The control means consists of the controlled variable calculating means of calculating a driving timing and a driving period of the object-to-be-controlled at the time when the number of inputs of the rotation signals reaches a prescribed value, and a driving control means of drive-controlling the object-to-be-controlled based on the driving timing and the driving period of the control object each time the rotational signal is inputted. When the operating periods of the controlled variable calculating means and the driving control means are overlapped, the operation of the controlled variable calculating means is interrupted, and the driving control means is conducted in priority.
