PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting structure enabling increasing earth-water preservation and reducing the number of times of water sprinkling. SOLUTION: This planting structure is such that a waterproof layer 2 is arranged on an installation surface 1, a water retentive means 3 which is formed in a container-like shape and comprises a container with inside divided small is laid all over the waterproof layer 2, and hardly perishable soil 4 formulated with hardly perishable bark 4a obtained by crushing the bark of Japanese cedar and Japanese cypress into a fibrous condition is filled in the water retentive means 3.
