A dry free-flowing glucose product having a dextrose equivalent value of 70 or above is prepared from a solution thereof by a process comprising the steps of supplying the solution and recycled solids to a spray drying apparatus, withdrawing from the spray drying apparatus the solidified particles formed therein, subjecting the solidified particles to a flow of drying and cooling air, and then recycling a portion of the solidified particles to the spray drying apparatus at a rate higher than the rate of supply of the solution calculated as dry matter. |
