PURPOSE: A water temperature detecting sensor is provided to precisely detect the water temperature and to prevent malfunction by preventing the water temperature detecting sensor from making contact with moisture. CONSTITUTION: A water temperature detecting sensor includes a case(10) formed at an inner portion thereof with a sensor receiving cavity(10a) and having a water temperature sensing section(11) at the front end thereof. A coupling section(12) is provided from a rear peripheral portion of the case(10). A water temperature detecting sensor(15) is installed at an inner portion of the water temperature sensing section(11). A lead wire(16) and an electric wire(15) are connected to the water temperature detecting sensor(15). The lead wire(16) is accommodated in a coil pattern and extends to outside through a rear end of the case(10).
