An aircraft air conditioning air supply system (10) is provided that includes a primary propulsion turbine engine (12) having a bleed valve (20) providing pressurized air. A ram air inlet (36) provides ram air. A super charger (22) includes a spool (28) with at least two turbines (30) mounted thereon driven by the pressurized air from the engine. At least one compressor (32) is connected to the turbines (30), preferably mounted on the same spool (28) as the turbines (30), and receives the ram air. The turbines (30) drive the compressor (32) and compresses the ram air for use by an air conditioning pack (38). The supercharger (22) provides compressed air to an air conditioning pack (38) that conditions the compressed air and distributes the refrigerated air throughout the aircraft. The number of turbines (30) and compressors (32) for the super charger (22) is selected by matching the specific speeds of the compressors (32) and turbines (30). <IMAGE>
