摘要 PURPOSE: A device for detecting a power ratio between a traffic channel and a pilot channel in a mobile communication system and a method therefor are provided to set an efficient section by corresponding to absolute size values of each symbol, and to detect average power for the efficient section only, then to detect the power ratio between the channels, thereby removing an error from blind power ratio detection. CONSTITUTION: A power ratio detector(340) comprises as follows. Absolute value generators(501,503) input symbols configuring the first signal, and generate absolute values for each symbol. Arrangers(505,507) arrange the generated absolute values in size order. An average value calculator(519) selects absolute values of a predetermined section among the arranged absolute values, and calculates averages of the selected absolute values. A squarer(523) calculates the square of absolute values of the second signal. A power ratio generator(521) generates a power ratio by a ratio between average values and the square of the absolute values of the second signal.
