PURPOSE: An outer case of a washing machine for preventing damage of a wire is provided to prevent short or wrong operation, and to improve productivity and reliability by restricting damage of the wire connecting the washing machine to the top cover with modifying the end shape of the upper plate of the outer case. CONSTITUTION: A hexahedral outer case(1) of a washing machine is opened at one side, and a top cover is placed in the opening part of the outer case. The top cover is combined with the rear top of the outer case, and turned and lifted up to put or draw the laundry out. A control panel is formed in the top cover, and a substrate is connected to a driving unit by a wire(20) in the control panel. An upper plate(130) is bent perpendicularly to a side panel, and formed in the upper part of the outer case. A curling part(135) is formed in the end of the upper plate, and the curved surface is formed by bending the end of the upper plate downward. Damage of the wire contacted to the end of the upper plate is prevented by forming the curling part in the upper plate. |
