PURPOSE: A channel equalizer and a digital TV receiver using the same are provided to accurately compensate a channel by accurately estimating a transmission channel. CONSTITUTION: A channel estimator(200) estimates an impulse response of a transmission channel from a receiving signal passed through a channel and it outputs a limited impulse response estimated value. A channel distortion compensation unit(300) converts the receiving signal and the estimated impulse response into each frequency domain, compensates channel distortion of the receiving signal by using the channel impulse response estimated in the frequency domain, and converts the frequency domains into time domains. |
