PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply to a fine diameter site and perform the expansion treatment or the like of a constricted site in a short time by a simple structure. SOLUTION: A medical instrument 1 comprises an insertion treatment tool 4 made up of a capillary such as a catheter inserted into the pancreatic duct 3, and a magnetic field generator 5 arranged outside an organism 2 and generating a rotating magnetic field. The insertion treatment tool 4 is made up of a slender insertion portion 6 having flexibility and a rotating treatment member 8 rotatably arranged in the insertion portion 6. The magnetic field generator 5 comprises electromagnets 9 attached to a plurality of peripheral positions of the organism 2, a drive device 10 supplying drive current of pulse form to the electromagnets 9 and an operating section 11 instructing the turning on and off of the drive current of the drive device 10 and the period or the like of the rotating magnetic field.
