PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To position a cage and roll balls in an entire axial slide range. SOLUTION: This constant velocity universal joint comprises a cylindrical outer ring 11 having a track groove 15 formed therein, an inner ring 12 having a track groove 17 formed therein and having a partially spherical outer surface 18 thereon, balls 13 disposed in a ball track formed of the track grooves 17 and 15 in association with each other, and pockets 19 storing the balls 13.The universal joint also comprises the cage 14 directly guided by the inner ring 12 and the outer ring 11 and having partially spherical inner and outer surfaces 20 and 21 axially offset by an equal distance.The track grooves 17 and 15 of the inner and outer rings 12 and 11 are crossingly arranged, and the balls 13 are assembled in the crossed portion of both track grooves 17 and 15.Also, the inner ring 12 is formed in a split structure having a track member 25 in which the track groove 17 is formed on the outer peripheral surface thereof and a spherical member 26 engaged with the track member 25 so as to be moved relative to each other in an axial direction and having the partially spherical outer surface 18.
