A non-aqueous electrolyte second battery comprising an electrode group having an anode and a cathode coiled in a flat shape via a separator, an anode tab electrically connected with the anode and projecting from the coiled surface of the electrode group, a cathode tab electrically connected with the cathode and projecting from the coiled surface, and a non-aqueous electrolyte, wherein the non-aqueous electrolyte contains a sultone compound having at least one double bond in a ring, and the shortest distance between the anode tab and the cathode tab ranges from 6 mm to 18 mm.
