A copying material with red-, green- and blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer(s) containing cyan, magenta and yellow coupler(s) respectively on a base. The red-sensitive layer contains hydroxy-functional polylactone and/or a (co)polymer (A), and the cyan coupler is a 2-acylamino-5-(alpha-(alkyl- or arylthio-phenylsulfonyl)-alkylcarbonylamino)-phenol (I). In copying material with red-, green- and blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer(s) containing cyan, magenta and yellow coupler(s) respectively on a base, the red-sensitive layer contains hydroxy-functional polylactone and/or a (co)polymer (A), the cyan coupler is a 2-acylamino-5-(alpha-(alkyl- or arylthio-phenylsulfonyl)-alkylcarbonylamino)-phenol of formula (I) and (A) contains not less than 10 wt.% units of formula (II), derived from N-vinyl-2-oxo-hexahydroazepine. R1 = H or alkyl; R2 = alkyl or (het)aryl; R3 = alkyl or aryl; R4 = alk(en)yl, alkoxy, aryloxy, acyloxy, acylamino, sulfonyloxy, sulfamoylamino, sulfonamido, ureido, hydroxycarbonyl, hydrocarbylamino, carbamoyl, alkylthio, arylthio, alkylamino, arylamino or H; and Z = H or a group labile under chromogenic development conditions. An Independent claim is also included for a method of making a positive print from a color negative by exposing image information onto the cited copying material, followed by appropriate processing.
