摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily operable method of producing a partially reinforced metal matrix composite material, in which reinforcement particles can be accumulated on all regions at a desired concentration without limitation of reinforcement regions, and expensive equipment is not required, and which can be applied even to continuous casting. SOLUTION: A mold and induction coils 3 generating magnetic lines of force so as to pierce the inside of the mold are used. A metal fused body 1 in which reinforcement particles 2 are dispersed is present inside the mold. AC current is applied to the induction coils 3 to apply electromagnetic force 6 to the metal fused body 1. The reinforcement particles 2 are moved to a direction opposite to the electromagnetic force 6. Next, the metal fused body 1 is solidified, so that the partially reinforced metal matrix composite in which the reinforcement particles 2 are accumulated on the region separated from the central axes of the coils 3 is produced.
