PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy to fit a decoration and to form a thick plating coating on the surface of the decoration. SOLUTION: When a frame part 2 of a spectacle frame 1 is molded, the decoration 6 formed in a star shape is molded integrally with the frame part 2 and the decoration 6 is embedded in the frame part 2 so that its surface is exposed on the surface of the frame part 2. After the frame part 2 is molded, an electrode is run through the decoration 6 and the thick plating coating 15 is formed on the surface of the decoration 6 by a proper plating method. Consequently, operations for inserting a pin into the frame part 2, and inserting a screw and clamping a nut become unnecessary, so it becomes easy to fit the decoration 6. Further, the thick plating coating 15 can be formed on the surface of the decoration 6, so the thick plating coating 15 never peels even when coming into contact with the skin etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
