PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal spacer with a lightweight and simple structure useful for reinforcement such as a reinforced concrete-made floor, a wall or the like. SOLUTION: A truss-shaped body 2 having a plurality of inverted triangular sections 2a on one reinforcing bar at regular intervals is formed in the shape of a drawing with one stroke, two sets of truss-shaped bodies 2 slightly overlap each other on the upper side 2ac of each inverted triangular section 2a to abut with each other to form in an inverted V-shaped space truss and, at the same time, parts abutting each other and parts crossing to each other of the truss-shaped bodies 2 and 2 constituting the space truss are bound by welding to form the metal spacer 1.
