PURPOSE: A book pull tab is provided which allows a book that is kept in a bookshelf to be easily pulled and which is effectively used in various applications, including a book-marker, a ruler, a letter-envelop opening tool, and the like. CONSTITUTION: The book pull tab comprises: a gripping member(101) retained in place of a book to allow the book to be pulled outward from between adjacent books in the bookshelf; a slippage preventing projection(102) and a slippage preventing recess(108); a slot(104) formed in the body of the book pull tab to facilitate storage of the book; and an ornament portion(106) for displaying decorative patterns. The book pull tab is used as a book-marker(103) by unfolding the book pull tab to be flattened, a ruler(105) by graduating, and a letter-envelop opening tool(107) by sharpening an edge of the book pull tab.
