<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for half(gradation) dyeing of lens by heat treatment after providing uniform dye coating film on the surface of the lens by a simple means. <P>SOLUTION: The method for dyeing the lens comprises the steps of immersing the lens in a dye solution followed by pulling up the lens to form dye coating film on the surface thereof and of heating the resultant lens to diffuse the dye into the lens, wherein the rate of pulling up the lens from the dye solution is 0.01-6.0 mm/s and the second step is carried out using a hot oven with a temperature difference set inside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
