PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cigar lighter for a vehicle capable of breaking a fuse within the specified period of time. SOLUTION: The cigar lighter 11 for the vehicle is composed of a socket body 12 equipped with a bimetal 19 and a lighter body 13 equipped with an electric heater 15. The bimetal 19 is furnished with a shortcircuit terminal 22 which deforms when the heater 15 is overheated for feeding the current to the vehicle and breaking the fuse. The bimetal 19 is furnished with a current feed holding terminal 23, which maintains the condition contacting with the heater 15 when the heater 15 is overheated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
