PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain colored powder which expresses various hues and controls mellow tone production while maintaining various functions of lightweight porous powder. SOLUTION: In the colored powder obtained by surface-treating (I) the lightweight porous powder having 0.01-1 g/cc bulk density with (II) a colorant containing (a) a synthetic resin and (b) a pigment and/or a dye, the amount of (II) the colorant used satisfies the formula: 0.1×(LM/100)≤N≤1×(LM/100) (L is the oil absorption (g/100g) of the light-weight porous powder, M is the amount (g) of the light-weight porous powder used and N is the amount (g) of the colorant used).
