<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium device suitable for performing recording/reproduction/deletion on an optical recording medium which has a noble metal oxide layer and records information in the noble metal oxide layer by deforming of into a hollow or gas ball. <P>SOLUTION: The optical recording/reproducing device records, reproduces and deletes information by irradiating an optical disk 1 having the recording medium comprising the noble metal oxide layer with light. A control circuit 8 controls driving of a laser driver 9 and controls the power of a laser beam 2 at recording, which is irradiated with semiconductor laser in an optical pickup 3, in accordance with the amplitude or a peak value of a tracking error signal, which is detected in a monitoring circuit 7.
