<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert observation data obtained by CAPPI observation or the like into equal altitude data in a short time and execute a correct equal altitude conversion processing without regard to change of operation mode of a weather radar system. <P>SOLUTION: A virtual elevation angle of an antenna in a specified position on an equal altitude surface is obtained by extracting two observation elevation angles sandwiching the virtual elevation angle, observation data at the specified position is approximated by using two sets of data each consisting of the observation elevation angle, a distance in the elevation angle and an altitude corresponding to the two observation elevation angles, and the observation data obtained by the above approximation is converted into data on an equal altitude coordinate system in the equal altitude surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
