The modular interior lamp (1) for a motor vehicle has a control (6) for one or more light sources (4) of the lamp formed as an interchangeable module which is releasably fixed to the housing (2) of the lamp. The interchangeable module can snap fit releasably to the lamp housing. The control module and lamp housing have an electrical connector.
