PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighter for automatically, easily, and reliably assembling a cap to a lighter body. SOLUTION: A cap 19 is fixed to the top of a lighter body 1 by a cap fixing section 30. Posts 32A, 32B being raised from a base 31 are provided at the cap fixing section 30. Additionally, a groove-like guide section 34 having a recess 33 engaged to a hook section 21 in the cap 19 and having tapers 36A, 36B along the assembly direction of the cap 19 is formed at the posts 32A, 32B, thus guiding the hook section 21 in the cap 19 for positioning.
