TREATMENT METHOD FOR ORGANIC WASTE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method for organic wastes for taking out the organic wastes in the form of any among carbonized, ashed and activated materials without generating dioxins by selecting the conditions for treatment utilizing the same apparatus.

SOLUTION: The oxygen concentration within a raw material conveyance passage of an external heating rotary kiln is formed as an oxygen deficiency atmosphere of≤3% and the raw materials fed from a raw material supplying means 18 disposed at a charging hood 17 are heated up to a prescribed temperature within the raw material conveyance passage and are held for the prescribed time by which the raw materials are made into the carbonized materials. After the raw materials are heated up to the prescribed temperature above 700°C, the raw materials are held for the prescribed time and steam is supplied into the raw material conveyance passage from a steam supply pipe 19 disposed at the charging hood during this time, by which the raw materials are made into the activated materials. After the raw materials are heated up to≥700°C, the holding time and/or the seam supply rate to the activated materials is increased and the raw materials are taken in the form of the ashed materials out of a discharging means 22 disposed at an extraction hood 20.
