摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removing method of objects attached onto the surface of a wire, which obtains stable contact with the wire with the passage of time and uniform removing effects along the full length and the whole periphery of the wire. SOLUTION: The stuck objects 5 on the surface of the wire are removed by winding a rope 2 with a fixed one end on the outer periphery of the traveling wire 1 in a spiral shape. The rope 2 is wound on the outer periphery of the wire 1 in a spiral shape. When the wire 1 travels within a loop prepared by the rope 2, a pitch of the loop is getting wider and a diameter of the loop is getting smaller in the rope 2. Consequently, the rope 2 keeps in tight contact with the outer periphery of the wire 1, and the stuck objects 5 on the surface of the wire 1 are scraped out when the wire 1 travels within the loop.
