PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sleeve for die casting in which thermal insulation properties of molten metal are more improved, and the loosening of a shrinkage fitting can be prevented even when used as the one for a hot chamber type die casting machine. SOLUTION: The inside of an outer cylinder consisting of a metallic material having a low thermal expansibility is provided with an intermediate cylinder consisting of sialon ceramics. The inside of the intermediate cylinder is provided with an inner cylinder consisting of silicon nitride ceramics having a thermal conductivity of≥60 W/(mK) at an ordinary temperature to compose the sleeve. A heating medium passage is formed on the inside of the outer cylinder or the outside of the intermediate cylinder located on the boundary part between the outer cylinder and the intermediate cylinder.
