PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing material maintaining comparatively strong deodorizing function for a long time. SOLUTION: This deodorizing material is obtained by containing an iron (II) composition composed of an iron (II) compound, an organic acid and a polyamino carboxylic acid in a porous body containing 50 mass% or more of a carbide and/or a coking material.
