PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition capable of being utilized in a cosmetic field, stabilizing a hydrophilic active ingredient unstable in an oxidative medium in the composition, comfortable on use, without causing any skin irritation after its use and adaptable to restrictions for the industrial performance of a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The composition containing at least one oxidation sensitive hydrophilic active ingredient selected from ascorbic acid and its derivatives, and at least one maleic anhydride copolymer consisting of≥1 maleic anhydride co-monomer and≥1 co-monomer selected from vinyl acetate, vinyl alcohol, vinylpyrrolidone, a 2-20C olefin and styrene is used as a beautifying and/or dermatological use for the purpose of bright coloring the skin and/or hair including body hair.
