<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To structurally reinforce hinge shafts which couple a case body and a lid across them for preventing destruction of the hinge shafts by a local shearing force and for increasing durability and safety of the case. <P>SOLUTION: The hinge structure has synthetic resin hinge shafts 8 which are inserted into hinge pieces 3 provided at the back end of the case body 2 and a hinge piece 6 provided at the back end of the lid 5 for coupling the case body 2 and the lid 5 in an openable/closable and rotatable way. Each of the hinge shafts 8 is composed of a cylindrical part 8b having a smaller diameter and a cylindrical part 8a having a larger diameter which is joined to it through a diameter enlarging step 8c. Shaft holes 4 having a larger diameter through which the cylindrical parts 8a having a larger diameter can pass are formed in the hinge pieces 3 on the side of insertion of the hinge shafts 8. The hinge piece 6 facing the shaft holes 4 having a larger diameter is provided with shaft holes 7 each of which has an insertion hole 7a having the same diameter as the shaft holes 4 of a larger diameter and a fitting hole 7b in which the cylindrical part 8b having a smaller diameter is fitted in such a way that it can not be pulled out and which is joined to the hole 7a through a diameter reducing stage 7c.
