<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transmission system wherein information communicated in a network is encrypted and transmitted so as to prevent the transmission information from being leaked to a third party. <P>SOLUTION: A first IC card includes: a storage means for storing a pair of a private key and a public key adopting the public key encryption system and a public key certificate; and an encryption means. A second IC card includes a decoding means, a terminal at an information sender includes: an information entry means; a control means for allowing an encryption means of the IC card to encrypt the information entered by the information entry means by using the encryption key; and a communication means for transmitting the encrypted information, the public key and the public key certificate to an information receiver side terminal via a network, and the terminal of the information receiver side includes: a control means for allowing a decryption means of the IC card to decrypt the received information via an IC card reader / writer by using the public key; and a display means for displaying the decrypted information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
