<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify manufacturing, miniaturize structure members, and prevent a brake pedal from giving big impact on legs of a driver when big load input is applied from a vehicle front due to vehicle front collision or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This supporting structure of the brake pedal includes a pedal bracket 3, a guide bracket 4 having a guide surface 4a descending rearward, and is provided with a deformable intermediate member 5 connecting the pedal bracket 3 and the guide bracket 4 and allowing the pedal bracket 3 to retreat when the pedal bracket 3 receives load greater than a designated value from the vehicle front side. Connection of the intermediate member 5 and the guide bracket 4 is constructed to be release when the pedal bracket 3 or the intermediate member 5 pushes the guide surface 4a and force greater than a designated value to lower the pedal bracket 3 and the intermediate member 5 is generated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
