PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a translucent electromagnetic shielding material by a shield pattern layer with high quality and productivity. SOLUTION: In the translucent electromagnetic shielding material 10 having a pattern-shaped opaque shield pattern layer 4 on a transparent substrate 1, a metal plated layer 3 is formed by electro-plating on a conductive layer 2 as a desired pattern based on the print of conductive ink, and a shield pattern layer 4 is configured of the conductive layer 2 and the metal plated layer 3. Alternatively, an electroless plated layer is formed on the whole face of the transparent substrate as a conductive layer, and a resist layer is formed of a negative pattern, and a metal plated layer is formed by electro-plating, and the resist layer is removed, and an electroless plated layer just beneath the resist is etched so that the metal layer can be partially left. Thus a shield pattern layer can be configured of the conductive layer formed of the electroless plated layer and the metal plated layer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
