<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dyeing plastic lenses which is superior in levelness properties in comparison with a conventional vapor phase process and dyes plastic lenses to a high density. <P>SOLUTION: An intermediate medium containing a sublimating dye is manufactured by using ink containing the sublimating dye and printing a desired pattern with an ink jet printer. The intermediate medium is brought into contact with a plastic lens, and in this state, the sublimating dye is sublimated in a hot water vapor atmosphere to dye the plastic lens. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
