<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking device for an open-close body for a vehicle capable of inhibiting a mischief or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The locking device for an open-close body for a vehicle has the open-close body 11 installed to a vehicle body 1 in an openable and closeable manner, an engaging member 13 mounted on an engaging section 11a for the open-close body 11 in a manner that the engaging member 13 can be engaged or disengaged, a manual operating section 12 capable of manually operating the engaging member 13 and the locking mechanism 19 holding the state in which the engaging member 13 is engaged with the engaging section 11a for the open-close body 11.
