PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact imaging apparatus capable of being manufactured at low cost while a high performance and high magnifying power zoom lens system is provided. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided with a zoom lens system having a plurality of lens groups for continuously and optically forming the optical image of an object so as to vary power by changing an interval between a plurality of the lens group and an imaging device for converting the optical image formed by the zoom lens system to electric signals. The zoom lens system is provided with a first lens group having negative power as a whole and having a reflection surface for bending a luminous flux for about 90°and a second lens group arranged with a changeable air interval from the first lens group and having power in the order from an object side and also at least one lens element whose material is resin is provided in the entire system.
