PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and effectively adjust a white balance in an electronic endoscope. SOLUTION: A processor unit 20 equipped with an electronic scope 10 and a monitor TV 31 are mounted on a cart 32. A tool mounting portion 40W on which a hanger 40h<SB>1</SB>for the electronic scope and a white balance adjusting tool W is provided on the side of the cart 32. The electronic scope 10 is hooked onto the electronic scope hanger 40h<SB>1</SB>with its insertion portion 11 below, and the tip of the insertion portion 11 is inserted into the white balance adjusting tool W. A sensor S1 detecting the hooking of the electronic scope 10 onto the electronic scope hanger 40h<SB>1</SB>is provided. A sensor S2 detecting the mounting of the white balance adjusting tool W on the tool mounting portion 40W is provided. When the sensors S1 and S2 detect the electronic scope 10 and the white balance adjusting tool W, a white balance adjustment is performed in the electronic scope 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
