PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition having excellent fluidity and heat resistance and possessing flame retardancy as well. SOLUTION: The resin composition comprises (A) a polyphenylene ether resin (component A), (B) a styrene resin (component B), and (C) a specified organophosphorus compound (component C, desirably 2,4,8,10-tetraoxa-3,9-diphosphaspiro[5.5]undecane,3,9-di(α-methylbenzyl)-3,9-dioxide compound), is characterized in that 60-100 pts. wt. component A and 0-40 pts. wt. component B are present per 100 pts. in total, components A and B, and 1-100 pts. wt. component C is present per 100 pts. wt., in total, components A and B.
