PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase buffer effect by a buffer bar body and provide comparatively large suppression force for suppressing movement of a guide body in the radial direction. SOLUTION: A steering device is provided with a rack shaft 2 capable of moving in the direction of axis length in accordance with steerng operation and the guide body 4 arranged on the opposite side to a rack teeth 2a of the rack shaft 2 and having a guide channel 41 guiding travel of the rack shaft 2. This guide body 4 holds the corrugated buffer bar body 8 which is recessed in the direction of slide onto a rack shaft side of the guide body 4 on an outer peripheral face on both end sides in the longitudinal direction of the guide channel 41 and projects in the direction of slide onto the rack shaft side of the guide body 4 on an outer peripheral face between both ends in the longitudinal direction of the guide channel 41.
