PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user with the relaxation effect by bathing and with health promoting effect with negative ions, and to solve the problem of mold growth, or the like, by releasing hot steam inside a bathroom to the outside, escaping to a dressing room, when the user leaves the bathroom. SOLUTION: The bathroom comprises an ion generator 1 for releasing negative ions in the bathroom while the user is bathing, and a control device 5 for switching an electrode 3 to an electrode 4 of the ion generator 1 when the user leaves the bathroom. It is preferable that the bathroom also has a sensor 6 for detecting the user's entrance to/exit from the bathroom and outputting a detection signal to the control device 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
